A neighborhood located in San Francisco,California and serves as the primary central business district. Financial District is the district is the place that houses the large corporate headquarters, insurance companies, law firms, savings and loan banks, and real estate firms, and many more financial institutions. You will find all six San Francisco Fortune 500 companies in this district which are McKesson, Gap, Electric Company, Pacific Gas, Fargo, Wells, and Salesforce.com. The area of the district is marked by the cluster of skyscrapers in the triangular area east side of Kearny Street, west of the Embarcadero, and south part of Washington Street. The city’s tallest buildings which are Transamerica Pyramid, 555 California Street, and many other tall buildings such as 101 California Street and 345 California Street are all located in the district.
Famous Landmarks
The equivalent of the Empire State Building located in New York City is the Transamerica Pyramid and it is the tallest building in the San Francisco skyline. The building has been constructed in 1972 and since then has been a historic building with amazing sights and a must-visit for anyone new to San Francisco.
